No Issues, Good Stuff - Stand Alone Air Conditioner Review

By Lillian Wright

It's a very nice product. It's very well made and quality. The extra weight of the batteries are not great for hiking but the comfort at night pays off the hard work. I keep it running on mid power and it runs for a good 8 hours. You can plug it into your USB or use it with your own batteries. I'm happy with this product. The sponge smells a little when you first turn it on but you get used to it. The strap is awkwardly placed and the speed dial is located too low for my normal thumb placement. It's no new technology. It's just evaporative cooling technology that's been out for decades.

The whirring noise level isn't bad but hardly discrete either. The $50 price is definitely too high for a product like this.

I had to get this when it was backordered 3 weeks but it was worth the wait. When you turn it on, it has a low humming sound which is a nice white noise and it does a good job of cooling the air.

I wanted to buy the adaptor that claims to give out more power, but when I bought mine last month but they were sold out, it's now in stock again so I'll be getting one now. My expectations were pretty high for this price point, and I am so far satisfied with this product.

Not noisy, wind direction is adjustable and flexible power options: USB or alkaline batteries. It's not a power house fan (it won't keep you cool if you are working out).

It's lightweight and the battery life is good although due to the way the air nozzle is designed, can sometimes be hard to adjust correctly so that it's facing you. Bought this mainly for camping, but I also use it indoors now and the USB jack is a great bonus to save on batteries. It's easy to use; love the USB cable to use power from my computer. Sits on my desk, and I can direct the flow of air wherever I need it most. The handy cooler has a really nice design, it looks more expensive than it costs and there have been no problems with reliability as some have complained. It has been 6 months now.

If only it had built in rechargeable batteries it would be perfect! If I could give this item negative stars I would. This fan is hugely overpriced and not worth the $49.98 plus shipping. The other way, I found it pinching the sponge. This way, it is completely enclosed.

It cools the air probably 10-15 degrees. I wish it could cool better, but a swamp cooler is simply limited to the humidity of the day, just like any other swamp cooler.
