I found the product to be rather bulky as well. Even though aesthetically stylish, I would feel self-conscious using this thing out in public as it is rather unusual. Now when I start feeling warm I turn on my Handy cooler and the cool air starts flowing. I use it everywhere. I bought this for my son who works in an auto factory. He says the temperatures there easily reach over 90 degrees. With its innovative technology it cools more than your regular fan. I've been using it nonstop since I bought it and it really does cool the air down by around 20F! It's intelligently designed and fits well in my hands. I haven't found a very good purpose to use it but it's just cool to have it around when you're sitting in front of the computer.
As for the price - I have gotten better hand held fans at the dollar store! For some reason, I had initially thought this came with an internal USB battery, but was disappointed when I learned it did not. Upfront, this product wasn't cheap, so I had hesitations with buying it at first. After checking out their website and reviews, I decided to give it a shot and have to say am glad that I bought it.
It fit in my normal-sized fanny pack with an extra set of batteries and the little water bottle, along with a small still camera and a Flip video camera. By midmorning my t-shirt was soaked and I had already wrung out my headband twice, so I found a little shade and fired this guy up.
This fan is handy for several things although I'll be totally honest, I bought it for an odd reason. I'll get to that in a minute, however. Don't waste your money on this. It does not work.
It's probably the most expensive small fan I ever got but it is worth it for the quality. I don't tolerate heat well at all and when I made plans to attend an all-day outdoor event in Eastern NC a few weeks ago, I knew I had to bring something other than just a sweatband.
This handy cooler is small enough to put in my carrying case. It's around the size of a large Starbucks coffee cup.
I also bought the flexible air tube for him to cool inside his heat-proof jacket. He loved the combination and does everything it claimed to do. The design and workmanship of this product is way beyond dreadful, and the pricing is criminal. I purchase this blue one on Amazon back in July.
