I wish I could have given it zero stars, but the review system would not let you. As a beauty therapist, I know how important it is to look after your skin and how much damage a fan or an a/c can do.
Probably less if you have the fan on "low". I got the AC adaptor to go with it; otherwise you'll need to have batteries and possibly spares ready if you travel with it. I originally gave this product 5 stars. Use batteries or USB, and this is an amazing product! It comes in a nice gift box and I'm considering getting a couple for my relatives for Christmas. Downside is they won't be too excited when you can only use it in summer! I have been using it for just over 2 months and it's been working well. It's not your conventional fan which you can buy everywhere, but one that uses moisture to cool the air.
I live in California and although the weather is normally nice all year around, it can still get brutally hot at times. If there was a REAL portable air-conditioner I would definitely buy that, but having searched endlessly to try and find something like that with no success (message me if you know of any) I found this unit.
This is what you call a personal fan. It's small and portable with strong cooling capabilities. The problems were as follows. As a 77 year old woman, the item was too heavy and caused pain to my hand when I held it. I ordered this product because I am undergoing chemotherapy and my temperatures get to very high levels sometimes, it helps a lot, I just place it next to me and it cools me down almost immediately. I find it the best when I place it next to my face and then the rest of my body will eventually cool down to.
It's a very nice product. It's very well made and quality.
This was so much better than a cheap fan or those fan/water bottle combos they sell in the parks. The only problem with it is sharing! If only it had built in rechargeable batteries it would be perfect! If I could give this item negative stars I would. This fan is hugely overpriced and not worth the $49.98 plus shipping.
I didn't have a thermometer to measure the temperature difference, but the air sure does feel cooler. It's amazing that it actually works! Not too bad for a hand held little unit! I bought this for my trip to Miami and I love it.

I'm never giving back the fan because of the it is the best fan that I have ever had. I strongly reccommend this fan! cheap air conditioning units. It gets broiling hot up there in the summertime, though window fans do cool the rooms down at night. Oh, and on the remote there isn't a specific button to cycle between your fan speed, so rather the power buttons also acts as the fan speed button. Furnace Brands.
