Awesome Item, Love It - Dual Core Netbook Review

By Alexander Howard

My husband and I travel a lot out of the country and purchased this Netbook mostly for this reason, I feel like the Netbook will fit perfectly with our travels. I haven't had much of a chance to use this yet because I bought the wrong memory upgrade based on "best if bought together" recommendation on Amazon. While the price was good, I must say, and it was too good to be true. Performance sucks, picture was terrible, camera was so blurry no one could see properly. Once I played with the graphic equalizer a bit, it sounded so much better than my mp3 player! The built in speaker sounds like a child's toy piano, however. I've had this little netbook for a few weeks now, and overall I am very satisfied with it. I bought it for portability, and it certainly delivers on that point. If you just need something small that you can use on the go this is exactly what you need. The better than average netbook keyboard really sets it aside from the competition. Overall it's just a nice functional little computer, perfect for word processing, taking notes in class, and surfing the internet. I wouldn't want to use it for any sort of heavy duty graphics processing but I love the fact that the battery lasts at least 8 hours, on pretty average settings too not even the extreme power saving mode.

I decided on the Toshiba. I added the Logitech Couch Mouse M515 for PC or Mac.

As an independent consultant/contractor, I repair computers, and do technical consulting. In general, I am just an all-around tech geek. Battery life is also great. Great job Toshiba, I am very happy. One thing I noticed is that it is indeed sluggish. Netflix didn't play without hiccups; hopefully the RAM fixes that.

Good value, light, good battery life, good wireless, feels comfortable and quality made, more powerful than might be expected. I purchased this for my son to use in school. The battery life is amazing, and it is durable feeling and charges fast. I would do yourself a favor and order the recommended 2G of Ram, it is a snap to install I did it with a Leatherman screwdriver and it was complete in two minutes. I would recommend getting a mouse for this netbook if you will be using it frequently, as I think it would add to the productivity/comfort level. The fact that it comes with some basic Microsoft Office programs is great!

I was shocked at how long it can stay on without charging it up. When I bought it, my main concern was the keyboard layout and battery life. And this netbook delivers on both counts.
