The outdoor security lights offer lots of light! These solar step lights have again filled with water.
If you have it secured to the wall (like where they have the mount that you should secure it) you need to remove every day to change the configurations from off and auto. Both of them come on, and a simple swing of the arm turns it back on if you're in there more than just a few seconds. Glad I did!

I'm here a third time purchasing more for a dark hallway in my basement! That's until I've found one that fixes the inconvieniences of this one. It's survived an extremely cold winter and a scorching humid summer outdoors with the same set of batteries while only partially coated on it's top. This is a fantastic movement light for where ever you need a bright light. It throws some light (more than enough to see by) mounts effortlessly, is wonderfully adjustable and has fantastic battery life. I could not decide so I purchased a few to test in various locations around the house. The product functions as advertized. In the beginning, I figured they should be more powerful, but after a month, I think they're fine and can buy a few more, particularly after seeing the cost has dropped just a little. It mounted effortlessly. I chose to purchase another one. Without that feature I believe the product is really a thumbs down.
Put upright during the night. I desired to light up several small closets in my home so I purchased two of these. I'm not sure what everyone elses expectations were, but for me it did not do the job whatsoever, the brightness is very weak. It does not come on in the day since it is too light inside, so I save batteries. I have this solar spot light set up in a closet area to have an occasional source of light, and it works great. Looks fantastic!
I'm happy with the Desingers Edge Outside floodlight. I have two that I place in some dark areas on the backside of the house. Said to be weatherproof. Sensitivity adjustment may work better for bigger open area (a flat lawn with tall motionless trees).
It goes on when it is supposed to and turns itself off thirty seconds after movement stops.

This solar spot light does an incredible job for lighting small locations (twenty five square feet). If I needed to guess, I'd say that the light in the solar driveway light was similar to the light given from a twenty watt incandescent bulb.
