Pleased With Motion Sensing Light - Porch Lighting Review

By Michael Thomas

I'm certain it will be able to handle the ambient moisture/cold/warmth from becoming outdoors but I don't believe it might last for very long if you plan on mounting it straight in the elements - at least not if you don't do some slight modifications to it like utilizing caulk or silicone within the seams. This little light works good. I needed an easy to illuminate a turntable which is mounted inside a closet.

That one is up in our hallway and illuminates the area adequately for strolling through and finding things in the near closet. I've purchased solar powered lights previously and that was a waste of cash. Cannot beat it for the price and it illuminates the 3 doors to the apartment entrance.

I really like it and really feel safer already. She's able to see her clothes and not have to fumble about looking for the lighting chain now.

That one is vastly better than the very first for three big reasons.

The light comes on instantly and stays on for thirty seconds or as long as you are in the line of "vision". I initially rated this BQ lighting with 4 stars (minus 1 star due to there being no daylight sensor). While waiting I noticed a white one and it appears even better than the grey ones. I had the electrician do the installation on the my new sun room. I love it a lot I bought two more for my yard. The motion sensor usually comes on, and also the light turns off after thirty seconds of no movement.

This solar lamp post really works great and with automated movement detection the battery lasts long time. I am still giving it five stars since the product is not made to do that. It is okay within 5' - 10' but is like a night light past that. Do not expect it to work as a "security" light, horrible. It is quite like a "dark light". This light is extremely dim and only stays on for about thirty seconds. I needed a light to turn on, where my mother had fallen when she tripped over my outdoor porch furniture. I'd recommend them. The only method to flip this off is to take it out of where you have it mounted, because the only (manual) off switch is on the back!

Once the batteries need replacing I'll climb on a stool, pull it down, substitute batteries and stick back up.

I would recommend this light! What this means is it's not hard to take down to replace the batteries if needed. I would recommend placing your BQ lighting under your roof eaves to ensure that they're out of direct rain.
