Keeping Cool In The Lake - Conservatory Air Conditioning Review

By Alyssa Wood

It's bladeless so it is safe around my little ones. It'll be a 5 star product if it was below 40 bucks.

It's a wonderful product. When I first used it I was very surprised on how cool the air was. I've used it lining in banks, waiting for buses, on train etc. And it has now become a necessity since the last 2 weeks when the temp hit the mid 90s.

This item is perfect to use when you want to cool off fast. If you wear suits to work, or have hot flashes, or anything else that calls for quick cooling, this is the item for you. All in all, I was disappointed. I really need a portable fan since I live in the desert, but this was not the one and I will attempt to try others.

The problems were as follows. As a 77 year old woman, the item was too heavy and caused pain to my hand when I held it. It's easy to use; love the USB cable to use power from my computer. Sits on my desk, and I can direct the flow of air wherever I need it most. I would recommend this product highly. I bought this little beauty for our recent trip to Walt Disney World. There is no heavy gust, just a very consistent breeze. I am hoping to open a nail salon soon, and will purchase a few handy coolers first because I can't afford to spend a thousand dollars on a few drying machines. Hope it helps, When you live in Arizona, you feel that the heat is relentless in the summer, the heat makes you want to strangle yourself! So obviously when I got the handy cooler as a present I assumed that it wouldn't really bring me any relief, but it surprising impressed me. Then there are those days that anything remotely warm will annoy me. Air conditioning is fine, but I seem to need something more isolated, and something I'm not going to use when I feel better. The whole water thing didn't seem to make much difference, as the air it kicked out was the same temperature with or without the sponge. I returned the item and bought a 36-inch tower fan for my office instead, and I'm happier with that.

In the meantime, I am going to see if I can rig up some sort of shoulder sling or something that will suit this purpose. At any rate, if you hate the heat, the Handy Cooler is the real deal -- cool relief to go.

Pass on this one. Just started using this for the summer and it worked for one day, but now the fan suddenly slows down or stops completely with no warning.
