Does The Job Well - Wall Unit Air Conditioner Review

By Samuel Anderson

When I saw that the shipping was an additional $12 for two lightweight slices of sponge, I wrote a "nasty gram" to the manufacturer. They wrote back. To me, it's just a nicer looking fan with a bit of swamp cooling function. The only time when I really need it if I stay outdoors for long periods of time, which is once in a year, like last season's baseball game.

I researched at least 10 different portable fans and cooling devices but decided to get this one after reading the reviews and liking the aesthetics of it. It is a very good product.

Unfortunately the handy cooler does not come with any form of case or anything, this would be nice because I am used to carelessly chucking things into my sports bag when I leave the house, and I am too scared of breaking it. Besides that, I am happy with my purchase. The only thing I could ask for is a longer USB cable. Summer has been on the cooler side so far but the hottest month is still to come so I expect to give the fan a real workout. Now we will never know since this product doesn't work. I read a good amount of reviews and thought this would cool effectively but once I received it yesterday it did not meet my expectations.

The extra weight of the batteries are not great for hiking but the comfort at night pays off the hard work. I keep it running on mid power and it runs for a good 8 hours. I was unsure of how it worked before I bought this, until I played around with it, I realize it's basically a turbine fan that filters air through a wet filter and for some reason the air comes out is cold. It doesn't cool more than 30 degrees but that is enough for me.

I've used it lining in banks, waiting for buses, on train etc. And it has now become a necessity since the last 2 weeks when the temp hit the mid 90s.

I bought this back in March and never had a chance to use it. Now the temperature has got high enough to take this beauty to the test, and it has proven itself very worthy. The handy cooler comes in three colors, and I decided to get the black one. It doesn't weight too much which was my biggest issue. I wet the filter carefully before I turn the receiver on. I let the filter dry out and let it blow air without the cooling function. The effectiveness fall short of the swamp coolers I usually see in my town but it does well enough for its size. The base is sturdy so it doesn't have a problem standing up by itself.

I bought two and used them both on the trip therefore not allowing me to get any of my money back and it leaves me with two useless items. Good luck to those of you looking for a way to keep your car cool and should you find one, LET ME KNOW PLEASE, Purchased 3 of these for a trip.
