For those who have a small house I'm certain it might work fine. This fan really cools more then the stated 400 square feet easily.
First of all, as you can of all fans, you are able to adjust the fan speed from low, to medium, to high, using the push of a button which cycles with the speeds. Getting the remote control using the fan permits me to regulate it as I like without moving from my seat. The circular base of the unit consists of very thin, malleable plastic, it is unstable when on full blast. This unit does seem sturdier, so I am optimistic. Delivery was fast.
There are a few tweeks I'm able to make to the room to assist it along, however I guess I am just going to need to get used to it.
The compressor is hardly noticeable. Digital readout is quite visible, no more squinting at liquid crystal displays, and also the user interface (each layout and usability) are excellent. It is not as big a blaster as I would really like, but suitable for certain requirements. I recommend this fan to anyone.
I went to Sunpentown plus, they said they would send another unit. Such a difference my medium-sized apartment is now with the summer heat upon us with this fan. Anyways, I received the fan in two days, it arrived a long fan size box. Additionally, it puts hardly any strain on your window frame and doesn't require any additional brackets.
I've got an approximately 450 square feet. The directional ventilation vents are bad.
It lowered the temperature four degrees at 25% humidity. I had the good fortune to obtain this fan like a warranty replacement from Holmes for any various fan that they offered me online. Perhaps this is a nice humidifier during the cold months, however I doubt even that since it hardly melts away any water. I ordered this since I have needed the convenience of the remote and also the "Energy Star" rating, instead of the local retailer's designs that have a comparable BTU quantity. That is tough to believe. I'd need to somehow go ahead and take entire front cover off and go ahead and take screws from the piece of plastic securing the ability cord to get rid of it. Now we are able to turn off the central unit during the night and just run this unit in our master suite on the top floor which is the third floor.
I would suggest this fan. It doesn't have handles or hand indentations to help hold onto it while window air conditioner installation. I turn it on for any bit simply because I figured it might only need a bit for the systems to begin.
