Far Exceeded My Expectations - Camping Air Conditioner Review

By Connor Baker

It is also relatively light weighted and can be carried around in my handbag. One of my favorite things about this product is that it is sturdy.

I can also pick it up and hold it close to my face when I need a rapid cool off. This product is brilliant! A friend of mine at work had this fan and let me borrow it and I used it so much she got me one as a gift! I can't tell you how often I needed this. Only minor glitch is that the USB cable is too short! I bought a new one from Radio Shack and it's 4 feet long.

Works well when it's dry and hot enough, from common sense, this thing shouldn't work well in humid areas. My hot flashes come on about every 45 minutes, 24/7. I have been told by my doctors this can be expected for the next three years. In the meantime, I am going to see if I can rig up some sort of shoulder sling or something that will suit this purpose.

I am going through menopause and having the handy cooler sit right next to me on my desk at work helps out a lot. When I feel a hot flash coming on, I just have to turn it on and I instantly feel better. So we decided to give this a try after reading some good reviews. It works well, provides cool air, and so far we've gone for about 2 hours and no issues with the battery.

This was so much better than a cheap fan or those fan/water bottle combos they sell in the parks. The only problem with it is sharing!

I researched at least 10 different portable fans and cooling devices but decided to get this one after reading the reviews and liking the aesthetics of it. It is a very good product. I've had this for just over a week and being using it daily at work and at home. It works great, fairly quiet and I got no complaints so far. I bought this fan because although I'm love the outdoors, my kids get pretty agitated by the heat.

I remedied this by putting it in a plastic bag while I had it in my backpack. I used this cooler instead of my Brookstone mini-fan during this trip, but I still love the Brookstone fan because it puts out a little more air and it can be easily propped up on a book in bed (for those hot countries that have no electricity). I have to say that standard misting fans are great if you're out at the beach or something, but if you don't want to get wet it can't be used. The way the handy cooler is designed gives you the same effect but without the wetness hitting you.
