Great Fan At An Excellent Price - Cheap Portable Air Conditioner Review

By Samuel Campbell

When it is working it is great but they break too easily, it is too sensitive and therefore cheaply made, but for some reason they cost 50 bucks a pop. All 3 of my fans have the same problem $150 total loss unless I can get them repaired by the manufacturer. Got this just the right time! It gets the job done well fanning the receiver, - and with the extra cooling that unfortunately only lasts for 2 hours.

I have brought 3 fans so far because my 1st one has some trouble with the blade rotating, the flow of air goes on and off, I think this is caused by the power adapter for the wall outlet. You should stick with batteries or the USB adapter. This fan produces a surprisingly great amount of breeze, especially after a long game of football. It has an adjusting fan speed setting (high for when I just finish playing sport, mid-range for normal cooling off) and works almost as well as an AC because the force of the breeze is quite strong. At the end of the day it is just a fan and I'm sure there are other products that can do what the handy cooler can does, but this has done it well and I recommend it. I was a bit skeptical about it at first, but after testing it out am all for it.

I suffer from MS and menopause so when I have to battle with the sun and the heat, I become cranky, sweaty and flustered. I have taken the handy cooler on my travels and I have found that although the device is a little bit chunky, it makes up for its size with the comfy hand strap. It cools, it's convenient, and very ergonomic. The only problem is the high price tag! I would like to personally thank the makers of Handy Cooler for making life so much more comfortable! Handy Cooler cools the air for real, not exactly at the level of an actual air conditioner, but much more than any mini-fan.

A great idea, but shoddy materials. The smell on the sponge left a lot to be desired as well.

I live in the dry Southwest and this handy cooler is perfect. It's well engineered, quiet, and very convenient to bring around.

It prevents me from turning into a giant mess. I'm on the go and very active indoors and out, this product has been fantastic, for me personally a life and sanity saver. It's best for when you're standing still. I was disappointed to hear its effectiveness diminishes in hot humid conditions. When the batteries are being charged, I run it on my laptop. I also recommend the home adapter which gives out more power.

Everyone in my office is jealous of it. The sponge dries out pretty quickly at high speed, but now that I've gotten better at it, I can re-wet the sponge in less than a minute.

Styrofoam - Cheap Portable Air Conditioner Review

By Addison Ramirez

We've had this for nearly 1.5 years already and it is almost constantly on when I work on the computer during the summer. Other than needing to buy some new filters last week, this is still working like new. Set it upright on your desk. The fan may run a little slower, since it's now being forced to draw air through the entire sponge, but the net effect of this is two-fold: * When the sponge dries out, it's actually closer to 100% dry.

It really cools best with the water in it so this is the drawback to that. Also, the plug isn't safe for outdoors so you'd want to use it inside a covered area with the batteries only which would wear it down kind of quickly electrically...but when it comes to saving lives of anything little in this heat, I'm pulling out all the stops. Love it being so lightweight and small; I can easily bring it to and from work every day. Delivery was fast. So I'd have to put this thing really close to my face to feel the air. I wished fan speed was more powerful.

If I want to be in the same room as my husband and children (which I do) then when I am not in my office, I can use the Handy Cooler rather than the Kuul Aire, and use the Handy Cooler just on me. The hubby and kids can be comfortable, and I can be comfortable. There are smaller portable fans out there but they don't really cool the air. This portable fan is great when I am at the gym. The fan does its job, but like in the insert it is labeled, in humid weather it will not cool you down. The little breeze effect may help you to cool down. It has minimal cooling, not as quiet as one would expect. I got a $12 fan from the drug store that works just as well.

The air also smells somewhat foul (sponge?). The fan is now a useless paperweight.

After all, there is no point of lathering gallons of hydrating lotion but sleep under a draft. The filters stay wet for only a few hours so make sure that you check often the wetness otherwise it is not going to work as well.

I've also tried small fans but they just don't do. This is such a wonderful surprise. I researched at least 10 different portable fans and cooling devices but decided to get this one after reading the reviews and liking the aesthetics of it. It is a very good product. I gave this fan as a gift and she said it worked pretty well for a day. It kept her cool and she liked it a lot, but then it stopped working.

Now, they will only run on high for maybe 15 minutes (if you're lucky) before quickly winding down and then stopping all-together. That is with *brand new batteries*.

What Are the New Features in The iPad 2?

By Mike Sanders

For most of us, it is impossible to escape the fact that the iPad 2 is now available. There is always a lot of hoopla when it comes to Apple products. Is this as a result of Apple's product line being great or merely buzzt from their loyal fan base? Coming from somebody who is indifferent, I'd say it's a bit of both. One year separates the release dates of the iPad and now the iPad 2. Hence, if you got the initial model, I will now offer my opinion on if you should consider changing to the iPad 2.

As for the physical size, the iPad 2 is a lot smaller in size than the original iPad. The iPad 2 is slimmer by about a third of the original although the screen dimensions remain unaltered. The weight of the iPad 2 has also seen a decrease with it now tipping the scales at just 600 grams. Light by any measures. I've held both an iPad and an iPad 2 and I must declare there is an evident difference in its feel. Any thought you may have that it will not work as well, due to the size alterations, could not be further from the truth.

Comparing to the first model, the iPad 2 is speedier. The graphics processor is touted by Apple to be 9 times faster than the original iPad. That is a significant improvement, if what they say is accurate. The rationale behind this is deu to new cameras and what is required for games. An A5 chip implies that Apple also now has a processor that is a lot quicker. The reason it is fast is because the iPad 2 possesses a dual core A5 processing chip. I certainly found it was zippier, even with several apps running in the background. If I use the various media on the original and then the latest iPad, the faster load speed time is noticeable.

The iPad 2 now has two cameras. You will find two cameras situated at both the back and the front. The original iPad had no cameras the least bit, so this is a big feature if you're bothered about having a camera on your device. One camera shoots 720p HD and the second camera isn't as great. FaceTime and PhotoBooth are two new additions to the iPad which allow you to make video calls and shoot interesting pics, respectively. With FaceTime, the front camera allows your calling partner to watch you and the back camera lets your partner see what you can see, on the back side of the iPad. Also I genuinely advise using the Ferrari Maranello iPad 2 case.

Switching from the iPad to the iPad 2 is, I would suppose, for people who feel the need for the faster processors and have money. If we ignore the cameras, then the changes are not groundbreaking but do make it a better model. Besides that the iPad stylus is a strong improvement over former types.
